Popocatepetl e Iztaccihuatl (2016)

Photoshoot based on a Mexican myth about the love of two volcanoes. Popcatepetl and Iztaccihuatl are volcanoes outside the Mexico City but legend has it he (Popo) was an Aztec warrior and she (Izta) was a Princess and it was the gods that decended and turned them into volcanoes

For both models I created bondo scarification pieces. I freehanded body paintings for the characters. Popo is wearing a refronted wig  which I styled in two sharp layers and a piercing made from bondo. Costume was also created by me.
